High mountain Arslan (honorific in Turkic signifying “Courageous or Great Lion”; in Persian: آلپ ارسلان; Arabic sobriquet: Diyā promotion Dunyā wa advertisement Dīn Adud promotion Dawlah Abu Shujā’ Muhammad Ālp Ārslan ibn Dawūd, Persian: ضياء الدنيا و الدين عضد الدولة ابو شجاع محمد آلپ ارسلان ابن داود;‎ 20 January 1029 – 24 November 1072), genuine name: Muhammad container Dawud Chaghri, was the second Sultan of the Seljuk Empire and incredible grandson of Seljuk, the eponymous organizer of the tradition. He significantly extended the Seljuk region and solidified his power, overcoming adversaries to south and northwest and his triumph over the Byzantines at the Battle of Manzikert, in 1071, introduced the Turkoman settlement of Anatolia.[2] For his tactical ability and battling abilities, he got the name Alp Arslan, and that signifies “Courageous Lion” in Turkish.
